On September 18th, 2024, our founder Yanel Rivera was named one of this year’s NextGen Collective Honoree’s for 2024.

It’s finally here! The celebration we as women look forward to every year has finally arrived. National Women’s History Month is celebrated in March, where we dedicate the month to not only celebrate, but appreciate and uplift women throughout history, as well as everywhere.

Female Black and Hispanic students navigate a unique academic experience, where their intersecting identities as both racial minorities and women manifest complicated challenges found within the education system, ultimately shaping their academic performance, outcomes and overall experience. The trauma that can arise from navigating these intersecting identities, as well as trauma that arises from unpredicted and disturbing life experiences contribute to the way academic performance and outcomes manifest.

If you don’t already know, Giving Tuesday falls on every Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It is the largest annual global event that is dedicated to donating to charities and non-profits, so they are able to help those that are in need. It was officially established in the year 2012 and has been something that people and charities look forward to every year. When you donate on Giving Tuesday, you are doing more than putting your money into a charity, you are saving a life.

The Give Her FlowHERS Gala is an award gala that honors some of the “biggest and baddest” women in the entertainment industry and Femme’s It Forward’s Next Gem Femme mentors. All of these women deserve their flowers for their amazing achievements and this event is meant to empower, celebrate, and inspire them. All of the proceeds of this gala go towards the Next Gem Femme mentorship program which works to accelerate career opportunities for young women of color.

The 6th Annual Women Speak Up was a transformative event that deeply inspired and empowered me. This gathering of remarkable women from diverse backgrounds came together to celebrate the strength and resilience of the female spirit.
